Broadway Bound

Broadway Bound

The Mississippi Bend Players will present present Neil Simon's "Broadway Bound" June 19-21 and 26-28.

Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m. Sunday matinees begin at 2 p.m.

"Broadway Bound" is the funny and poignant conclusion to Neil Simon’s semi-autobiographical trilogy which began with "Brighton Beach Memoirs" in 2018 and "Biloxi Blues" in 2019.

Reuniting the original Mississippi Bend Players cast, this installment finds Eugene and his brother Stanley busily trying to break into show business as professional comedy writers. When their material is broadcast for the first time, triumph turns into tribulation when the Jerome family realizes the boys’ sketch is essentially a mockery of their real lives.

The play is the first of the Mississippi Bend Players' 2020 summer series. It will be followed by "For Peter Pan on her 70th Birthday" July 10-12 and 17-19, and "Ruthless" July 31-Aug. 2 and Aug. 7-9.

Tickets are $20 per person; or $15 for seniors, children and any student with ID.
