The Mississippi Bend Players will present "For Peter Pan on her 70th Birthday" by Sarah Ruhl July 10-12 and 17-19.
Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m. Sunday matinees begin at 2 p.m.
This will be the regional premiere of Ruhl’s new play, filled with Quad Cities references and memories from the past. Ruhl created the play for her mother, Kathleen Kehoe Ruhl, who describes the show as “a gift for which I lack adequate words to thank the playwright who wrote it for me." Kathleen Ruhl will reprise the role here in this loving exploration of life, death and the allure of never growing up.
The play is the second of the Mississippi Bend Players' 2020 summer series: It will be followed by "Ruthless" July 31-Aug. 2 and Aug. 7-9.
Tickets are $20 per person; or $15 for seniors, children and any student with ID.
